Frocked – Rental Terms & Conditions

1. About Us
Frocked ("we", "us", "our") is a dress rental company offering designer and special-occasion clothing for hire. By placing an order with Frocked, you ("Client", "you") agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"), forming a legally binding agreement.
2. Definitions
Booking Date: The date you place a rental order.
Client: The person entering into the rental agreement.
Garment: The item(s) rented.
Rental Fee: The amount charged to hire a Garment.
Rental Period: The agreed duration for which the Garment is hired.
Rental Start Date / Rental Return Date: The beginning and end dates of the Rental Period.
Replacement Value: The current market value of the Garment as determined solely by Frocked.
3. Try-Ons
At this time, Frocked does not offer try-ons of any kind, whether in person or via post.
4. Payment Terms

Full and upfront payment required: All rental fees must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Non-refundable: Rental fees are strictly non-refundable for reasons including but not limited to change of mind, event cancellation, or any other client-initiated cancellation.

Change of rental dates: Any request to change Rental Dates must be submitted in writing. Approval of such requests is entirely at Frocked’s discretion and is not guaranteed.
5. Delivery & Return of Garments
- Delivery: All postal hires are delivered with a prepaid Australia Post Express satchel and pre-filled return label. This satchel must be used for the return of your Garment. If you do not receive a satchel with your delivery, please contact us immediately.
- Return of Garments
You must return your Garment on or before the agreed Rental Return Date, using one of the following approved methods:

Over the counter at an Australia Post office or depot

You must lodge the parcel by close of business (local post office hours) on the Rental Return Date.

You must obtain a printed proof of lodgement receipt from Australia Post.

Yellow Australia Post posting box (Express only)

Red posting boxes are not accepted as they are infrequently cleared.

You must lodge your parcel in a yellow posting box before the last clearance time on the Rental Return Date.

You must take a clear, timestamped photo of yourself placing the parcel into the yellow posting box (with the box clearly visible). This serves as your proof of lodgement.

If your Rental Return Date falls on a Sunday or public holiday, you may lodge the parcel on the next business day.
- Local Returns: If your booking was collected in person, your Garment must be returned directly to the collection address in St Johns Park, NSW 2176 by 7:00pm on the Rental Return Date, placed in the secure returns box located at the front door.
- Failure to Comply: Failure to use the prepaid return satchel and one of the approved return methods will result in the Garment being deemed late and subject to late fees as outlined in Clause 6.
6. Late Returns
- Obligation to Return on Time
All Garments must be returned on or before the agreed Rental Return Date.
- Proof of Lodgement

If returning over the counter, you must obtain and keep the official Australia Post proof of lodgement receipt.

If returning via a yellow Australia Post posting box, you must provide a clear, timestamped photo showing the parcel being lodged into the yellow posting box, with the box clearly visible.

If you fail to provide one of the above forms of proof, your return will be deemed late.
- Late Fees: If your rental is returned late, late fees will apply.

The fee is calculated as: Rental Fee ÷ Rental Period (days) for each day overdue, up to 120% of the original RRP of the Garment.

Example: A $100, 4-day hire = $25 late fee per day.

Late fees will be charged to your original payment method.
7. Delivery Liability

Events outside our control: Frocked is not liable for late, lost, or incorrect delivery where the failure is due to events outside our reasonable control (e.g. courier delays, errors, or other postal issues). This is an inherent risk of using third-party postal services.

Slight delays: No refund or credit will be provided if delivery is slightly delayed but the Garment still arrives in time for your event.

Tracking & monitoring: You will receive Australia Post tracking updates once your order has been dispatched. If you do not receive this information, you must check your junk/spam folder and contact us immediately. It is your responsibility to monitor tracking and notify us promptly of any issues.

Safe drop deliveries: If Australia Post marks the parcel as “Delivered – Left in a Safe Place” and you cannot locate it, you must notify us immediately so we can lodge an enquiry. If Australia Post deems the parcel delivered and is not held liable, you will be liable for the Replacement Value of the Garment.

Signature on Delivery: For Garments valued over $700 AUD, Frocked will include Signature on Delivery at no extra cost to you. If this applies, you must ensure you are available to sign for the parcel or collect it promptly from Australia Post.

Incorrect or incomplete addresses: If delivery fails because you have provided an incorrect or incomplete address, you will not be entitled to a refund or credit. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address (including apartment/unit numbers, company names, or other necessary details). If the Garment cannot be recovered, you will be liable for the Replacement Value.

Safe delivery location: It is your responsibility to provide an address that is secure and where you trust the person or company receiving the parcel. If the postal provider confirms delivery (via signature, photo, or GPS evidence), the parcel will be deemed delivered. If the parcel does not reach you after this point and cannot be recovered, you will be liable for the Replacement Value.

Postage limitations: Postage is available only within Australia. Our services are not available outside of Australia.
8. Cancellations by Frocked
If we must cancel your booking—for example, due to damage, loss, or unexpected delivery issues—you will receive a full refund of the Rental Fee and any delivery charges. Frocked is not liable for any additional losses or damages.
9. Damage, Loss & Repair

Responsibility: You are liable for any damage, loss, or theft of the Garment during the Rental Period.

Accidental Damage Protection (optional): Coverage may be offered to cap repair costs up to a specified limit. Damage beyond that, or loss due to negligence, remains your liability.

Replacement charges: In case of irreparable damage or loss, you will be charged up to the Replacement Value of the Garment.
10. Garment Care
You must treat rented Garments with utmost care. Do not iron, wash, use safety pins, or apply products (like fake tan) that may harm the fabric. Notify us immediately of any stains or damage. Damage resulting from improper care may lead to replacement charges.
11. Sizing & Fit
We provide detailed information regarding the fit of items available for hire on our website. While we are happy to offer general sizing advice via email, the final decision remains your responsibility. Frocked takes no responsibility if you select a size or style that does not fit you, suit you, or meet your personal preferences. For specific sizing information beyond what we can provide, we recommend contacting the brand directly.
12. Identification & Verification
Where required, we may request proof of identity (e.g. passport, driver’s license). Failure to provide acceptable identification may result in cancellation of your booking, without refund.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Such changes will be effective upon posting. It’s your responsibility to review the Terms before each rental.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under those laws.
